Starting out with new software, a new website project, or looking to take advantage of the new features of an updated version of EverWeb undoubtedly brings to mind the resources that you will need. Your success can be measured in terms of software mastery, or implementing a new feature, or just updating your site with a new look.
These such challenges can appear daunting, but there is always help close at hand. EverWeb includes a number of different resources so that you can quickly achieve your goals and successfully publish your website. Here’s a review of the essential EverWeb resources you won’t want to miss out on…
The EverWeb User Manual
Your first port of call will probably be the EverWeb User Manual. You’ll find this an invaluable resource as soon as you launch EverWeb for the very first time. In the Projects Window, you’ll find a link to the User Manual in the bottom left hand corner under the ‘Learn how to use EverWeb’ button. Alternatively, you can always find the User Manual by going to the Help-> EverWeb PDF Manual menu option.
The EverWeb User Manual is a key resource as it guides you through the app itself as well as how to build either a fixed width or responsive website – terms which are also explained in detail. There are also chapters on subjects such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for beginners and Blogging from scratch. The manual also covers EverWeb’s first party addons if you need to purchase them as part of your website building process: SEO PowerUp, Contact Forms Enhanced addon, Site Shield addon and EverWeb Membership Sites addon are available.
EverWeb Professional Services
In addition to the EverWeb User Manual, there are also a couple of services that are useful to know about. There are both free and chargeable services available. If you want one on one coaching you can buy either a 10 minute, or 55 minute, session with one of EverWeb’s support team. Coaching can be on pretty much anything, for example website design or SEO, and can include live screen sharing.
If you want to go further and have the EverWeb team redesign your whole website for you, that’s also available!
Tutorial Videos
As we mentioned above, the Projects Window includes a button ‘Learn how to use EverWeb’. Clicking on this button will take you to EverWeb’s Video Training Library. The list of videos is structured to help you build your website and each video includes a text transcript as well.
If you want to view the full collection of EverWeb videos, go to the EverWeb Channel on YouTube. As well as video tutorials, you’ll find other videos here such as EverWeb new release launch videos, EverWeb for photographers as well as in-depth integration videos and how to use the Contact Form Advanced widget in different scenarios. To keep up to date with the latest videos, just subdcribe to the EverWeb YouTube video channel.
If you’re a FaceBook user, you’ll also find the latest videos posted on EverWeb’s FaceBook page.
In addition to these resources, when you’re using EverWeb, you may notice a question mark inside a circle icon in the UI of the app. These icons link to a video on the feature that the icon is located next to. This will save you time and effort if you need specific help on a particular EverWeb feature. The video also pops up within EverWeb so will help keep you focused.
The EverWeb Website
the next useful resource for EverWeb website builders is the EverWeb website itself at www.everwebapp.com. This is a useful site to visit as it focuses a lot of EverWeb resources in one location. Checkout the Resources menu option for tutorials, courses and more. The Support menu option is also available giving you access to the EverWeb Knowledgebase which is a searchable resource center. There’s also access to the EverWeb Discussion Forum as well which we discuss in more detail below.
The EverWeb website is also a good resource for third party resources such as theme templates and widgets. Whilst EverWeb has over two hundred theme templates and a collection of 27 in built widgets, sometimes a third party solution is better for meeting the needs of your website.
The EverWeb Forum
As we just mentioned, the EverWeb Discussion Forum is also available to EverWeb users with a current EverWeb license or for those who have pre-sales questions to ask. You just need to sign up for an EverWeb account to be able to use the forum. her you can ask your questions to the EverWeb user community, and there’s also an oversight from the EverWeb Support Team who monitor and respond to questions as well. It’s a great resource and it’s also the place for announcements about new products and services. for example, there’s the public beta version of the soon to be released EverWeb 4.4 version available if you want to try it before it’s official release!
If you find potential bugs with the product, or want to keep in touch with third party resource releases, this is also the place to come to!
Blogs To Keep You Up To Date
If video is not your go to format for EverWeb resources, perhaps a blog offers you a better alternative. EverWeb itself has its own blog on the ragesw.com website. There’s also this site as well as others such as iwebunlimited.com. If you’re new to EverWeb, you may find many references to iWeb, Apple’s defunct website building product, that EverWeb sprung from many years ago!
EverWeb Third Party Community
The last main resource for EverWeb users is the third party community. Here you will find many widgets as well as theme templates. Sites such as EverWeb Garden for example, will keep you up to date with new widgets. For news on the latest in this sphere of EverWeb activity, we recommend using the EverWeb Forum or checking out the Resources-> EverWeb Addons tab on the EverWeb website.
So, a lot of resources for EverWeb users, and don’t forget if you have a question, you can also ask here on this blog! Happy Website Building!
