EverWeb 4.5 for macOS and Windows Enters Public Beta with Awesome New Features!

The EverWeb Discussion Forum has just announced that EverWeb 4.5 for macOS and Windows is now available as a Public Beta! The last EverWeb release, version 4.4 came back in September 2025 and was a huge release. This new public beta release is just the same, as it’s again a huge release with lots of new and updated features to take advantage of! You’ll find that Containers have more features, there’s a new Overlay Effects feature, background masks including SVG support, popup windows, on-click actions and a new Carousel widget, plus lots more!

How To Take Part in EverWeb 4.5’s Public Beta Testing…
It’s easy to get involved in the EverWeb Public Beta test program. All you need is to create an EverWeb account. If you don’t already have one, go to the EverWeb Discussion Forum page, then click on the Register button in the menu. After registering, login to your account. You will then be able to access the links to the Public Beta.

If you haven’t purchased EverWeb, you’ll be able to use the product to its full extent except for publishing your website. You’ll need to purchase EverWeb to publish your site to the Internet.

Before You Begin…
As always with any software in beta test, caution is required. EverWeb’s beta software always backs up the project file before it opens it which gives you some extra safety. We do recommend, though, that you don’t use live project files with beta software. Anything you consider mission critical should wait for the full public release of EverWeb 4.5. And it’s always smart to back up your project files with your computer’s regular back up, or at least implement EverWeb’s project file backup solution at the very least.

Accessing the EverWeb 4.5 Public Beta on Mac or Windows
The new Public Beta is available for both Mac and Windows OS platforms. To access the EverWeb 4.5 beta test software, either follow the links provided in the Announcements section of the EverWeb Discussion Forum, or go to your EverWeb Client Area. You may need to log in, to access your Client Area features. From the Home Screen, click on the Support menu option and choose Downloads. You’ll see a section called Beta Software. From here you can download the latest public beta version that’s available.

Installing and Testing the EverWeb 4.5 Public Beta
Download the beta version (macOS or Windows) from the Client Area. Installation is the same as it would be for the full release version. Once installed you can start using the new features. As this is a beta test version, your feedback is important. If you come across any problems or issues, please feed this back through the Discussion Forum. If you have any crashes, it’s important that you send these in to EverWeb Support so that the crash can be fixed and eliminated for the full release version.

The beta test phase of EverWeb 4.5’s release cycle typically lasts between two to four weeks. As this is a release packed with lots of new and improved features, you may find that there’s another public beta released along the way to the final public release.
