macOS Sierra Support Comes to EverWeb version 1.9.7

Apple has just released macOS Sierra (10.12) to the general public. The new operating system has a great many new features such as support for Siri built in, universal clipboard. login to your Mac with Apple Watch, greater iCloud Drive support and more. Numerous under the hood enhancements have been made including the macOS file system which has been updated to Apple File System, or APFS. The new file system unifies macOS, iOS, tvOS and watchOS. It also has technically advanced features to take advantage of today’s and tomorrow’s technology.

To be compatible with the new OS, EverWeb has an update specifically for macOS Sierra: EverWeb version 1.9.7. If you’re currently using EverWeb version 1.9.6 or older, and have updated to macOS Sierra you may have issues using EverWeb’s Preview feature. If you have a current EverWeb support and maintenance license the update to version 1.9.7 is recommended!

To check if your EverWeb license is active go to the Accounts tab in the EverWeb-> Preferences menu. If your license has lapsed and you want to renew it for another year of software updates and support, click on the Manage Account button to go to your EverWeb account where you can renew.

To update your version of EverWeb to version 1.9.7 go to the EverWeb-> Check for Updates… menu in EverWeb itself. EverWeb will check that you’re running macOS Sierra. If you are you will see the Software Update window which will let you download the update. If you are not running macOS Sierra you won’t see the Software Update window.

The EverWeb 1.9.7 update is only for macOS Sierra compatibility. The big update, including an all new Blogging feature, is expected to debut in EverWeb 2.0 which is currently in beta testing at the moment!
