By It’s only been a three months since the big release of EverWeb 4.0 that added Membership Sites, Paragraph Styles, Check Page and a raft of other great new features to the product. Yet here we are with another awesome update which includes some often requested features! Here’s a rundown of what’s new in EverWeb 4.1 for Mac and Windows…
- WebP support! Although this is an ‘under the hood’ feature addition, you will see immediate effects on the speed that your pages load in browsers. Your images are optimized and converted to WebP format when you publish your site cutting your page load times whilst preserving the quality of your images!
- Lazy Loading! This is an often requested feature. Images only load when they are actually needed. For example, images used in your footer won’t load until you scroll down to the footer. This saves time in loading your page and so is a lot more efficient!
- Draft Mode! Another often requested feature! There are times where you may not want to publish pages in your site. Just set these pages to draft mode and they won’t get published. Easy!
- Video Backgrounds! Add your own video background to your page from your own source, YouTube or Vimeo. There are also plenty of customization options to choose from!
- New Page Background Image Options! With EverWeb 4.1 you can now horizontally and vertically tile the image that you’re using as the Page Background. You can also set the image’s horizontal and vertical alignment as well as fixing the image in place.
- Alt Text comes to all Image Gallery widgets! You asked for this feature and it’s mow included for both the Image Gallery and Responsive Image Gallery widgets!
