By The wait is over and EverWeb 4.0 has launched! As you would expect, this is a major release with many new, exciting features to take your website to the next level!. We’ll have detailed reviews of all the new EverWeb 4.0 features in the next few weeks, but in the meantime here’s a fast summary of what’s new, enhanced and updated!
macOS Sonoma Compatible
First things first… Yes, EverWeb is compatible with the recently released macOS Sonoma. The new release also has the same compatibility as its predecessor, EverWeb 3.9.6, so will run on Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 as well as on Intel Macs running OS X 10.10, macOS Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra, High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura or Sonoma. If you have an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS Sonoma, Ventura, Monterey or Big Sur EverWeb 4.0 is also compatible!
EverWeb Membership Sites Addon
This has been a long awaited for feature! Yes, you can now create your own membership sites in EverWeb! Membership Sites have never been as easy as they are now in EverWeb with dedicated new Membership Site widgets to help you craft your membership site in EverWeb itself. Your Client Area acts as the backend where you setup payments, coupon codes, membership levels, membership admin functions and everything else you will need to quickly setup an awesome Membership Site!
Membership Sites Addon comes in three different levels including a free starter level, so there’s something within everyone’s budget!
Global Styles
The awesome new Global Styles feature lets you create your own reusable styling features! Create your own paragraph styles for your website and your own color scheme. Apply these to your pages and if you want to change your styling later, you can update your whole site in just a few clicks.
Check Page SEO Button in the Toolbar
If you use EverWeb’s SEO PowerUp addon, this is a great new feature for you. You can check any page in your site for its SEO status. When complete Check Page will offer you suggestions as to how to improve your SEO and is context sensitive so will take you to where you need to go to tune your SEO!
Contact Forms Advanced Improvements
The Contact Form Advanced widget gains two new Form Controls: Columns and Dividers. These are two great new Controls to make your Contact Form really stand out! The TextBox and Text Area Controls now offer ‘Patterns” so that you can make the controls read only or accept only specific types of input e.g. IBAN banking details, UK, Australian and US Phone formats, positive numbers only input and much more. If you use Contact Forms Enhanced Addon, you’re now able to select the types of files that your Contact Form responders can upload to you.
EverWeb Site Shield Addon Is Now Available For Everyone
For a long time, EverWeb Site Shield Addon was only available to those who had an EverWeb+Hosting account. That’s now changed as Site Shield Addon is now available if you don’t host with EverWeb. This makes setting up a secure HTTPS site super simple with just a couple of mouse clicks!
EverWeb 4.0 is a very strong feature packed release. There are a lot more features and nice nips and tucks to enjoy!
